JavaME Developer Library at http://library.forum.nokia.com/index...E4A538FB8.html lists a Nokia proprietary JAD/MANIFEST attribute Nokia-MIDlet-Category.

When I include this in my jad file:

Nokia-MIDlet-Category: Application

and install the application, a new directory called Applications is created on the root level and the application icon is placed there (although there already is another folder called Applications on the root level). I don't think this is the intended behavior. Can you please confirm?

I have tried this with the 5th edition emulator (version 0.9) and the remote access devices.

Is anyone able to confirm the behavior on an actual handset?

Check what you are typing in the JAD file. Is it "Application" or "Applications"?

Checked that. As pasted in the message, it is Application.
