Greetings,

http://jouni.miettunen.googlepages.com/paparazzi

Even though PyS60 1.9.1 didn't come with Sensor Framework, I updated Paparazzi Attack. Sorry, works only with PyS60 1.4.x series, works only with Sensor API supported devices, which basically means N95 and N82 devices.

Paparazzi is a sensor game, where you have to help "Movie Star" avoid "paparazzis" as long as possible. You can do this by turning and tilting the mobile phone.

Version 1.10, release date 2009-01-28

* Packaged as SIS with custom icon
* Graphics from Silk Icons http://www.famfamfam.com
* Works also without graphics, just in case
* Tested with N82 (pyS60 1.4.5)

Released with source code.

Enjoy,

--jouni looking forward to PyS60 1.9.2

Funny, but my movie star is quite fluttery, she can't stay in place and shakes around several positions, even when the phone is on the desk immobile.

Would it be possible to use (sliding?) mean or something to make it more stable?

I'm using raw sensor data, which isn't too stable. Maybe it's my hands shaking, maybe trucks driving by, maybe earth rotation, coriolis or just sensors as they are. It does require some stabilizing, but that would be at least 20 lines of code and several evenings for experimenting & testing

So far there always has been something else more interesting to do, Paparazzi was just a quick nice relaxation project. I'll check it again, when Sensor Framework support has been released. I'll update Mazing Days at the same time - which by the way has some built-in sensor data stabilization.

Thanx,

--jouni

Huh, I got over a minute and thought I was good You have very steady hands or... yes, found a good excuse: Earth is not a perfect sphere, but a bit flattened at the poles. Therefore gravity is bigger here up north and interferes more with sensors

Cheers,

Btw, we equatorial people are much affected by the gravity of the sun as well than at your land of the mid-night sun

And yes, I have found a trick to score higher. Just hold the phone in such a way that the movie star stays in a cornor of the screen, and keep changing it to other cornors at 4 to 5 seconds

Best Regards,
Croozeus
