J2me Text to speech -

Dear all,
Is there any free java engine for TTS(Text to speech) which can be used to develop a language package. It would be nicer if there is any but If there is no open source engine , then can anyone please give me some guide lines how can I develop a TTS for any particular language in j2me. If any other language, if its not possible in j2me, (like C++) can help to develop a TTS, please shoot me that proper guide line too. Thanks in advance and will be looking forward to receive any reply from anybody. Regards Roy

I do not know of any existing Java ME TTS solutions, but if you have a S60 phone, why not try Python (PyS60), that contains TTS support
http://www.forum.nokia.com/Resources...ython_for_S60/ Hartti PS. of course Symbian C++ contains support for that too, but using PyS60 might be an easier route
