Hi,
I'm newbie programming J2ME and I have some questions about Content Handler API. I would like to know if it's possible to register the Jar files MIME type and link it to an application developed by myself, so before the installation, I am able to handle the file, and copy to another location. If it's possible, will the system continue with the installation once the file is free again? Is it possible to move the application once it's installed? (I mean, show it to the user into a different folder) Thanks a lot!! |

What phone are you using.
Content Handler is only supported in S40 5ed FP1 onwards, NOT on S60 phones. :Ruben |

Hi! The aim is to develop it to the 6600 slide.
Thank you. Best regards. |

Hi,
I believe there is a Content Handling Framework in Symbian v9.4 too. Regards, Abhik |

akerfelt, I do not think you can override the system JAR installation (handling) with Content Handler. Check the CHAPI API reference (I cannot do that right now, because of my really slow and unreliable net connection)
rayabhik, Symbian 9.4 might have Content Handling Framework, but Content Handler API is not available on S60 5th Edition device, even though they are based on Symbian 9.4 Hartti
