Hi,

I'm not in Forum Nokia PRO nor Launchpad.
1) Would S60 Platform Services 2.0 Javascript API be available for S60v3 FP2?

2) Are there more APIs?
AppManager Service API
Calendar Service API
Contacts Service API
Landmarks Service API
Location Service API
Logging Service API
Media Management Service API
Messaging Service API
Sensor Service API

1) there is no announcement yet on the S60 FP2 phones supporting S60 Platform Services 1.0. will keep you updated if we do go ahead to support this.

2) refer to the link for the full list of S60 Platform Services API support: http://www.forum.nokia.com/Technolog...Overview.xhtml

I think this is important if we want to build widgets for devices which are really popular in the market. s60v3 is all over, and any widgets I made can only work on s60v5 due to the platform services

Just to add, for example, the N86 was just released it seems, as s60v3 none of our more advanced widgets would work on it.

Moi,

is there some reason to use iterators as the return values (e.g. Messages API getList() ), could you consider using arrays for this purpose?

that`s indeed a very good question, i asked the same thing in regards of the ActionScript API, these iterators are horrible (and slow), can we please have native objects for both languages?

if the reason for having them is speed – the iterators requesting data one by one – then implement a proper asynch API where developers can first get the total number of a given data array and then request specified ranges, but let`s bin this dark horse which is a hack in both JS and AS!
