Hi guyz,

I have added a big line or text for the choicegroup nearly 100 to 150 characters.I just cant understand why it truncates and display as(some text...) and this adds extra command button as view which comes in "option" command.But i have never used the option button I think its default one.So how to solve this kind of problem by making it to view the full text for the choice group.And remove the "option" command.Plz Guyz help me out.

Have you checked the setFitPolicy(int fitPolicy) - method? Try setting Choice.TEXT_WRAP_ON and see if it works.

yes i did that too still it comes like that in few of the mobiles.How to make this compatible to all the mobile...

In another mobile when i make a submit When i generate a new form this shows the text from bottom and i have added the choice group to the form too. Can you tell me whats the reason for this so that this will be helpful.

Well as the API declares for TEXT_WRAP_ON constant: "The Implementation may limit the maximum number of lines that it will actually present." so I guess some devices limits the ChoiceGroup lines to one and therefore cannot draw multiple lines for ChoiceGroup option text.

this problem is quite unsolved for s40 devices yet. try ur code on s60 devices and tell still u found the same problem or not

I find the same problem using n-80 which is s60 device.

For label of choice group, if it is too long characters and then

Tried:

• 6230i = It cuts the string and puts ... after a few characters
• 2630 = It cuts the string and puts ... after a few characters
• 6070 = It shows full text
• N70 = It shows full text

But for Choicegroup Elements' Text
Tried:

• 6230i = It shows full text of Elements
• 2630 = It cuts the string and puts ... after a few characters
• 6070 = It shows full text
• N70 = It cuts the string and puts ... after a few characters

Tested on Choicegroup Type is EXCLUSIVE

So, is this bug?
