I want to resize image:
1. Only Magnification in the range 1 to 3 times
2. No change in aspect ratio
3. No transparency in image
4. Source Image data is present in integer array RGB 24 bit format
5. Do not want to use any optional JSR
6. Want to implement a good algorithm like Bicubic Interpolation

I searched for research papers in Google and in IEEE Xplore Digital Library but no good paper is found. Actually I want algorithm for resizing image (like Bicubic Interpolation) or any open source Java library for it. If anybody knows any URL then please post.

I implemented Bicubic Interpolation algorithm for image magnification. But on Nokia E61i, it takes around 18 seconds to magnify any Image to 320 x 240 resolution and that too by consuming 100% CPU cycles.
If anybody knows any efficient way then please post.

Use algorithms that use getRGB and pixel data.I couldnt right away tell you one,but i have used it.

getRGB() is a function of Image class and if you read my post properly then you will realize that there is nothing to do with Image class:

I just wanted to convert an integer array into another integer array which I managed to do with good performance by writing my own algorithm.
