Hello,

I can't listen any audio midlet in a Nokia E66. I have also tested demo midlets (Those from Wireless Toolkit 2.5.2) but I cannot listen to them.

I checked the audio formats, which are supported by the implementation of the phone (getSupportedContentTypes), so the application is able to create a player.

The player seems to work and the progress bar runs, but no sound can be heard.

On the other hand, the audio files (in this case AMR, WB-AMR and MP3) can be listened if I run them out the j2me application, that is, with the music player of the phone.

Is this a bug of this model and some other phones? Any help?

Safest formats are usually MIDI-0, or 8kHz, 8bit mono WAV.

However, I suspect your problem is related to a setting on the device. Someone posted a similar problem recently, and found that his code worked fine on someone else's phone (of the same model). It also worked fine after he factory-reset his own phone.
