Hi.
I want to enable network connectivity for all my Internet applications on my phone. I have found a program called GNUbox on the Internet which changes the ISP dial out & the Modem table to automatically use the IR or bluetooth technology when a network connection is needed. I have not tested this on a real Nokia 7650 yet. Anybody knows if its working? Is this the correct way to establish a network connection from the phone to e.g. a bluetooth AP or is there a better one? How? Is there any difference in the commdb implementation on the 7650 and the ericsson P800? Best Regards Lars |

Can you give the URL where we can download this program or find information about it. A search on google doesn't give me the results i was expecting.

here is the linl where you can find the code for it :
http://www.symbianos.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gnubox/ Now, regarding the difference between the database between the 7650 and the P800...I have only compared with the P900, and the databes are different. There is a tool called : ceddump on UIQ that allows you check the content of the databse, but obvioulsy the setting you will find are goind to be different from the ones on your device. But it seems like its possible to copy the database from the phone to your PC ! I am still working on this application and trying to get it working on the P900. Thanks Djazia |
