Hello Seppo,
I have followed the steps described in document "Setting Up and Using the Bluetooth Testing Environment for Series 60 Platform 3" , I have all the hardware and software required. But when I am trying to install the card as a COM port, Windows doesn't give me any chance to select Com port option, as it recognizes the card as a bluetooth one it only propose to install it as a bluetooth card. I have purchase this Socket card because I read in this forum that it was the only to work with emulator. Can you please help me because for the moment I am stuck and I can't develop my application. Thanks and regards Romain |

Do you have Windows 2000 OS?
Have you first installed Socket card with its original drivers? If yes, you should remove all card drivers so that the system does not recognize the card. Seppo Forum Nokia |

Have you removed the Socket card, RFCOMM and SDP Protocols from Control Panel-> Add Remove Hardware?
You might also need to go to Registry Editor and remove the card registries. Seppo Forum Nokia

Seppo,
I've just installed the Socket CF card and I'm trying to use it with the Symbian OS 7 SDK and emulator (I know, this is usually a series 60 board :-) ). I've setup the adapter just as in the Series 60 guide (it's installed as COM4). When I try to use Bluetooth from the emulator, I either get a Panic or the emulator just stops (the eopc.exe log says: "Loading BTCONFIG.CTL @0x153C0000, AddLibrary BTCONFIG[10005fe1]"). I really need this running to debug my Bluetooth code. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Tim |

The Series 60 SDK Bluetooth hardware requirements do not apply to Symbian 7.0 based SDKs. Please contact the SDK vendor for hardware requirements.
