I have the above but can't get anywhere.
I have paired the Phone to my PC without any problems. But can't get a SSP connection between the two (I just get the error message "Connection dropped by remote device" every time. I have checked the Coms ports and it looks ok, but no connection. I never get a connection in Mrouter no matter which com port I select. Anybody have any ideas? |

I have connected to the 7650 successfully, using the Billionton USB device. It too uses the Widcomm Bluetooth software, so you should really have no problems. Once you have paired, you should go to the Bluetooth Configuration section and make note of the COM Port listed for "Bluetooth Serial Port" under the "Local Services" section (For example COM 5). Connect to the serial port under your phone's profile, and without closing "My Bluetooth Places", right click the "mRouter" icon, click "Properties", click the box next to the COM Port matching the one you made note of (i.e. COM 5). It should then say "Connected" next to the relavent COM port. Close the "mRouter" and open PC Suite. Ignore the error message, "The \General connection failed: The remote device closed the connection" and click OK. When you want to disconnect, go to the "mRouter" properties section and uncheck the COM Port. It is difficult to explain this all in detail without supporting screen shots, but this should help. |
