You only need to read the posts on this forum, to know that everyone is eagerly awaiting the release of some new miracle software, that will solve the 6310 Bluetooth compatability problem.
As I have said elsewhere on this forum, I have personally tested every available PC Suite version which might work on the 6310, without success. I was quite excited to test the new 8910i PC Suite 5.02, after reading the Quick Guide published on Nokia.com. It not only says that this version should work on Bluetooth for the 6310/6310i, but gives several examples of devices that work, including USB devices. One of those specifically mentioned is the TDK USB adaptor. I have personally tested this device with the latest version of Widcomm software 1.3.2.7 and PC Suite 5.02, and it does not work. You do not get the same error as with 4.81, but instead the phone connects, disconnects and gives the error "Unknown error". It is obvious that some work is being done to solve the problem, as some small changes are evident. Nokia, please explain. Cyril |

I can access my 6310i through the Windigo XTNDConnect Blue Manager V2.1 using the Blue Monkey USB to Bluetooth converter.
I can not get the Nokia software to work though. Also the phone does disconnect immediately after setting up a trusted pairing. In another post I was referred to the TDK site http://www.tdksystems.com/index.asp The TDK software to edit the phone book & text messages works ok through Blue Manager - The Nokia supplied software is, as you say, a complete failure. The TDK USB to Bluetooth interface includes the PC software FOC. |
