I have purchased the Xircom Bluetooth adaptor so that I could transfer files from my Nokia 6750.

I am having trouble connecting the phone to the pc, the Xircom card connects to the phone, but within the Nokia software you have to select the correct com port. I have selected all the ports that I can but this will not connect the port. There are 2 ports that I can not use, com3 & com8 these say it is in use by another application, which is the Xircom card.

Could you please advise me how to rectify this problem.

I am not familiar with Xircom solution, but try it so that FIRST enable the COM ports in mRouter. Then see if Xircom software notices that there is an application (PC Suite/mRouter) using the COM port. Bluetooth software may now suggest to connect to the Bluetooth serial port.
