Can I execute an event every time a char is inserted into a appuifw.query?

No, it isn't possible as far as I can tell. The closest thing would be to detect when keys are pressed and if those keys are character keys then execute the event. Here is an article about detecting keypresses: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...sses_in_Python

AFAIK that is not possible unless you press the ok in the query, after that it will return something. Hope you got me. EDIT: Bogdan has already answered you. ![]() Gargi Das- http://gargidas.blogsot.com Forum Nokia Python Wiki Learn Python at http://mobapps.org/PyS60 |

Well, that's really for Mariannu to decide. I for one would say it's a lot of work but if nothing else works then it should be tried. He said appuifw.query so that's why I said the only plausible approach is to detect keypresses. It does detect the keys that are being pressed but the input isn't placed in the query, so basically it doesn't work.
