Hello all,
I wish that some one of you saw the bluetooth chat on this : Mobile.Python.Rapid.prototyping.of.applications.on.the.mobile.plat
this program let one device send message and wait for the other to send the next message that is not instant
what I want to do is to make it instant just like yahoo or hotmail
What should I use.should I use ??!!

it would be great if write more about the features you want, rather than yahoo or hotmail type.

Moreover if you want that sort of UI in the mobile then it would be very difficult, not impossible.

Hi gaba88 thank you for your replay sorry but i meant that i want only my chat program to be able to send and receive messages with the person with out waiting for him
I donot want the UI like it i only want to make the chat peer to peer
for example with the bluetooth chat program on the book if we have John and Tom ok!
john will send message
then tom should replay
because if Tom does not replay John cannot send the next message
I donot want this I want John to be able to send messages even if Tom doesnot replay.this is the only feature i want form yahoo and hotmail

are you using the same code or using it after some modification. Because long ago i have checke this code and it was working fine.

I'm using the original code.
But it is not only this bluetooth application that doesn't work with me. I've tried every connection, using bluetooth socket, lightblue and pybluez, to connect two phones through rfcomm but they crash on service discovery.
They work fine when trying to connect to a pc, though.
And i can make the simple point-to-multipoint C++ example work with them as well. It seems that the problem is only with python...

obs.: i've paired them and set to automatic connections authorized

any idea?
