Lately I've been working on isometirc tile based engine and editor
Here's screenshot:
http://uppix.net/8/b/e/4d493e12083bc...093071ed7b.png
But the problem is that what you see in that screen ^ runs very, very slow
And it will be even slower if i take time and place characters, more objects and HUD on screen. So any suggestions? I know i could code the app so it draws only whats visible on screen, but no need for it at the moment because I don't have anything more than what you see on this screenshot, so that won't help. I'm sure my Nokia N82 can do way better.

Well, it would help if you post your code for us to analyze. And what exactly is running slow? Drawing that image on your canvas?

Moving around the scene, I'll post the code tomorrow, but I think that's because there are loads of things to draw on screen.

---
So here's the code
http://kongshare.com/?d=EEAIhAXjJx-i...-py-repack.zip

1.9.6 is needed to run, i don't know if it's going to work on 1.9.5, but it's not working on 1.4.5...
Map editor is also included, don't pay attention to it unless you want to experiment, it got few bugs.

---
Put folder 's60' in the root of memory card (E:\s60)
Put iso_tiles.py in E:\Python
RUn iso_tiles.py from Python 1.9.6 script shell.
