We have a Nokia WAP gateway ver 1.1.1. When we attempt to access a server running SSL, we get what appears to be a 404 error on the console of the WAP gateway.
The mobile device reports the following: Requested object was not found. We can TelNet via 443 from the OS, Win2000, so we know the network connection can be established. Are there any patches we should be aware of? Where would we go to download them if they did exsist? on January 25, 2002 at 13:32 Hi, have you installed any version of Security Pack on your Nokia WAP Gateway? Please read more from Forum Nokia web site: http://www.forum.nokia.com/ >> Browsing/WAP >> Nokia Activ Server >> FAQs There is said that, "11. How secure are the services enabled by the Nokia Activ Server? The Nokia Activ Software Suite includes a product option called Nokia Activ Security, which is a high-level end-to-end security solution. Nokia Activ Security uses Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) for encrypting traffic on the wireless network and includes Secure Socket Layer (SSL) support to origin servers. Nokia Activ Security also supports certificate-based server authentication and the use of common authentication technologies. In addition to the Nokia Activ Server's internal authentication mechanisms, WAP terminal users can be authenticated using Windows NT domains, RADIUS client/server protocol or LDAP and SecurID authentication to further enhance the security of mobile services." If you have more questions on Nokia WAP Server, please post them to the Nokia Activ Server discussion board. Kind Regards, Forum Nokia Developer Support |
