I have just run tests on PC Suite 5.03 and 5.1, in the hope that maybe Nokia have solved the 6310 Bluetooth connection problems. Version 5.03 is actually older than 5.02 and still looks for the Digianswer drivers like 5.01 and those before, while 5.1 is similar to 5.02.

Basically, they still do not work.

Earlier in the week on this forum, I read that PC Suite 4.88 is being developed as we speak, and will be ready soon. Can anyone (ie Seppo at Forum.Nokia) genuinely confirm this.

Is a new version of PC Suite being developed to solve this problem, and when will it be ready?

We are told to refer questions such as these to the Nokia Careline, but has anyone really received an answer via this route.

Well actually I will be very pleased when I see the fixed version of pc suite.
on the other hand I need a guarantie about bluetooth development on the new pc suite. Becouse I have just bought a bluetooth usb dongle and I am going to give it back (may be 6310i too! )....
I will be really very pleased when I see some informative nokia developer who says "yes we will fix the bugs and make 6310i works with usb dongle (bluetooth) with out any problems,and be sure that this version will be released in ../03/2003"

anyway.. what about an infra red connection cyril ...
is it possible to get success with infra?....

Infrared works perfectly.

Bluetooth has not and will probably never going to be supported by Nokia Standards.

I didn´t receive an answer from Club Nokia support yet.

Summarizing Nokia Suite´s BT fiasco: my 6310i works perfectly with the JABRA BT 200 headset, the Belkin F8T003 detects the phone and the other way round. So Nokia phones DO support Bluetooth!

I guess that the only brown lump in the whole environment is the Connection Manager that comes with the PC suite.

Did somebody receive an answer concerning a new version of PC suite?
