I'm using a Nokia 3110c with S40 3rd Ed. Features Pack 2. We're using this phone to deploy a research project where we use cell phone games to teach kids certain things. However, in order to make sure the kids aren't fooling around with the cell phones, we'd like to disable certain features; one of them being the use of the camera for taking videos or pictures.
Below is a list of things that we'd like to disable (leaving our game as the only usable thing to do with the phone):
SIM Calling/Texting.
FM Radio.
Camera Features.
Does anyone know how to do this? Ideally, this would be something that we'd do in code (perhaps messing with the Symbian OS settings) to prevent these options from being available, thus making it impossible to access through the phone itself.
I guess it somewhat resembles the locking of features that some carriers do to their phones. Although, when most people are looking on how to unlock these features, we're looking to how to lock them.
If anyone has any experience on the matter, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
