I have a 7650 which I feel is a fantastic phone and I have had a lot of them over the years.
However... I have a 3Com BT USB adapter and after many e-mails, messageboard postings and even phone calls I nearly gave up with it. Nokia support in the UK told me there was no way of getting this to work with the PC Suite software and that I should have bought a Nokia BT adapter (although they then said these had been discontinued). Eventually I found the solution which involves removing the 3Com software and replacing it with software from AnyCom. Now my phone syncs with Outlook via PC Suite and its good. The 2 major drawbacks with this phone are 1. lack of Bluetooth audio support 2. Lack of memory You could get a 3650 but personally I don't like the look or feel of it or take a look at the SE P800 which I also don't like the look of (so much so that I gave mine away). In summary the 7650 is so nearly perfect but not nearly enough - one final thing, the customer/developer support I have experienced is shameful... |

I've got a 7560 and a £16.99 Bluetooth USB Dongle from Ebuyer.com. (Product code:46391)
The Drivers are Wendigo systems and the connectivity software is the XTND Connect Blue suite. Firstly. Don't install the Nokia SDK. That messed it up royally on my machine. Just install the drivers, then reboot and it should list COM: ports in dev. manager (on windows 2000) and then plug in the BT adapter. It installs as a PBTUSB02C2 USB Bluetooth Device (using the Extended systems bluetooth driver). What you then need to do is open the connections manager and select whichever COM: port was installed as "Bluetooth SERIAL COM: Port" (Check in dev. manager) as your default connection. It will state that the connection type is "Unknown". In the other software (XTND Connect manager) I had to firstly find the phone and pair the devices using pass codes etc. Once that was done, I started the PC Suite 7560 software and then the XTND software prompted me to select the device to use on the com: port. I told it to use the Phone, set it as default and then the Phone Suite software started ok. I can do file transfers, image transfers and all the usual stuff that IR supports via the BT now. ------------------ Hmm, it doesn't seem to automatically start to communicate via the Virtual COM: port when the suite is started even though the XTND manager sees it as a trusted device....
