Hi
i wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction to getting started on developing graphics just need information with some technical guidelines and file formats. any help appreciated.

The Nokia document: A brief introduction to MIDP graphics 1.0 (direct document link here) steps you through the basics of MIDP graphics development.
The only graphics file format guaranteed to be supported on all MIDP devices is PNG. Good luck!
