Is there a way to develop an application using Bluetooth and Java on the 7650 phone? I've looked at the docs and I haven't found anything about it. Is there an API for it?
Thanks in advance. |

Hi,
I read the java faq on forum nokia and it says that buetooth is not supported currently in Nokia's Java/MIDP environment. I think they should speed up with this development. We would need that functionality too. Andras |

That's not actually a reply but it's a question i have on a similar topic.
Is it possible to send SMS and/or MMS from a J2ME application running on a Nokia MMS enabled handset like the 7650 for example...... Thanks in advance :) |

thanks god, I finally can access this board, test this, but the speed is so slow

Yes, I'm looking forward to programming Bluetooth on Java!
The API's are already available (check out Sun's website). It's just a matter for Nokia to implement it on their phones. |

Hi,
According to http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/1,6566,015_291,00.html Nokia 6600 is starting to support Bluetooth API (JSR-82) in MIDP. you can try. But the phone is not avaliable in market yet. Best Regards, chai. |

Take a look to the Series 60 MIDP Concept SDK Beta 0.3 that comes included in Nokia Developer's Suite for J2ME(TM) 2.0. It supports the Bluetooth API (JSR-82).
