Hi,

7650 Java implementation doesn't support MIDI sound format. It supports Wav and Nokia Smart Messaging Ringing tone format via Nokia UI API.

For example, Nokia PC Suite includes composer for Nokia Smart Messaging ringing tones.

to elaborate JP's answer a little bit: Mobile Media API (JSR-135) is what you are looking for when you are wondering if Nokia model X or y supports MIDI sound file playback or not.
