Hello ppl,

Recently bought a nokia 3650 and a Microsoft bluetooth mouse with a dongle.

On my system I am running windows xp (eng) with sp1.

I installed the intellipoint software with the mouse.

Installed PC Suite... from the cd-rom that came with the phone..

Paired the device (3650) with authentication... and digit code (successful).

Under control panel the phone shows up as a authenticated device (wireless link). And I removed the mouse just not to disturb the connection with the phone..

HOWEVER.. when i try to send pictures / videos or whatever to the computer there is an error in connection. Even though everything seems to be in place there is no actual communication between the pc and the phone..

How can i send things from / to the phone? What else do i have to do to sucessfully set this up... it's all getting very complicated and doing my head in.. so please help if you have a clue or pointer in the right direction..

thanks ia

Gus

I presume that you are using Microsoft BT stack.

For your information, the Microsoft BT stack does not
support Serial Port Profile and any OBEX based profiles
such as Object Push, Sync and FTP etc.

I suggest you switch to different BT stack such
as one from Widcomm (buy TDK dongle).

No way. Double check whether is using MS BT stack or
something else.

I am 100% sure MS stack does not support any of the
profiles that are required for PC Suite to work and to send &
receive pictures.

MS BT stack supports DUN, HCRP and HID profiles only.
As far as SDK goes, it provides socket interface to its
RFCOMM & SDP layer and APIs for device discovery etc.

I'll apologize for given you incorrect information if you
prove otherwise.

sorry..

correction..

my friend did not actually install pc suite at all. he says he can transfer the files without even having pc suite installed.

he can send files from and to the phone..

i don't see how but please let me know if this is possible..

the bluetooth connection that i am using is the one that came with the bluetooth mouse from microsoft.. and i have taken the batteries out of it & disconnected it; to make sure it wont disturb the interaction..

my friends was wrong.. and i bought an Acer BT500 adapter now... and it actually works even pc suite!

however can i get the MS bluetooth mouse to work with the acer adapter or the MS dongle.. all simultaniously?

so i can use both the BT mouse and the acer adaptor to connect to the phone at once..

Most likely no.

As far as I know, only MS BT stack comes with HID profiles
that required for Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
