Hi,
I've read the "Setting Up and Using the Bluetooth Testing Environment for Series 60 Platform", I've several question for it. I've bought a Bluetooth adapter ("http://sg.hardwarezone.com/priceguide/buy.php?cid=221&id=6456") to transfer files between my N7650 and PC. And what's the differences between the Bluetooth adapter and card ? My Bluetooth adapter can be used tp setup the Bluetooth testing environment too ? Or I need to buy the "Bluetooth Card" ? Please give me some comments. Thanks. Regards, chai. |

The document you referred to describes how you can run Series 60 Bluetooth applications in the Series 60 phone emulator on PC (win2k). Currently you need a Nokia Connectivity Card DTL-4 or a Socket Bluetooth Card to perform this testing. Other cards use different kind of HCI implementation and therefore cannot be used.

Hi,
Thank for your reply. Can you give me details about the Nokia Connectivity Card DTL-4 or a Socket Bluetooth Card ? And it's the only way to test/develop the Bluetooth application in PC ? I thought the normal Bluetooth adapter can do so at first. For the moment, I only know the Symbian API can be used to control the Bluetooth. The CLDC also has an optional API for Bluetooth even the actual implementation is not available yet, that's mean I can use the card to test the Java-application too ? Regards, chai. |
