Okay so I picked up a Nokia 3650 and I already owned a Microsoft Bluetooth Office (bluetooth keyboard and mouse) and I'm having some issues. First up none of the software installed for the 3650 (PC Suite) found the bluetooth phone or settings so I went into the XP Wireless Link settings and told it to find the bluetooth device and it found it by name. The bouth authorized each other and on the phone in the paired devices - my machines name is listed.

However, the Nokia software STILL says that there is no phone connected, constantly failing to successfully launch the PC Suite software.

DOES ANYONE ON NOKIA EVER ACCESS THIS FORUM?

I´m trying for days to connect my 7650 with PC Suite (1.2.0) and nothing happens. No sucess and I´m a System Administrator and software developer!!!

I´m using a 3Com 3CREB96 Bluetooth adapter that wotks fine on a WinXP Pro. (It should. I´ve paid 200US$ for it - just as expensive as the 7650).

I DID NOT see anything from NOKIA telling us how to fix this issue.

I need to make this PC Suite work. I´ve exchanged my old palm for this cellphone ´cause i wanted to have calendar, to do list and my contacts on the go and a mobile phone on the same equipament.

If I can´t make PC Suite works, I can´t synchronyze with my Outlook. If I can´t do it, this high technology 7650 model just doesn´t worth my money or my time.

I always trusted NOKIA for the best mobiles ever.

I guess it just isn´t anymore.

The problem is that the transceiver that comes with the Microsoft Bluetooth Office is crap. I picked up a Belkin bluetooth adapter and was able to get the 3650 connected to the XP box lickety split. Not a whole lot of reasons remaining to hang onto the Microsoft keyboard thing (first keyboard I've run across with an oversized delete key and no insert key).

You never know when someone from nokia may access this forum. As for microsoft's bluetooth desktop, check their knowledge base, they say it will work but you have to add a registry key. article 811235
