Hi!

I'd like to be able to tell whether Bluetooth is turned on from C++. Is there an HCI call that will do this, or mabe a HAL call? Alternately, is there a return code from a socket server call that would indicate that Bluetooth is turned off?

I want to be able to display a dialog box to the user when my app starts, to say Bluetooth is on or off. Ideally I'd also be able to let the user turn Bluetooth on and off - can this be done using an external view of the settings app, or via an HCI / HAL call?

I'm finding that eventually Bluetooth "locks up" as my app runs - I can't even turn it off from the settings panel, only a power cycling works. Is there a lower-level API that will terminate all Bluetooth connections and reset the hardware?

Thanks!
