After reading this board I went and upgraded my 6310i firmware to 5.50. I have been using 6310i as a GPRS modem for some time and it has been working fine. Upgraded PC Suite to 4.88 and first thought I could make this work but just got another disappointment again... Infrared does work however but I want to see a day that PC suite works with bluetooth and contacts, tasks and calendar is in sync with my Outlook without taking 6310i from a pocket.
However, I can "see" 'Nokia Bluetooth Phone' as listed when trying to connect. Then I can see that there is activity and connec on my phone but then sudden disconnect and "Connection Opening to the Device Failed". Just as everyone else seem to be experiencing. PC Suite 5.02 for 8290 does no good either although someone apparently has this working. Sigh.... |

5 minutes after I post a message about IBM Integrated Bluetooth and 6310i I got it working. I missed the new PC Suite bluetooth service that came along after upgrading firmware from 4.07 to 5.50. Browsed though 6310i services again and noticed the new service I was not aware of before. Hit connect and bluetooth connection started working immediately. And its a lot faster than infrared.
