I am trying to do some streaming video but and having problems getting the video to start.
The packet video is initiated and tries to connect but just dies... Has anyone had this happen to them or come up with a solution or work around. Thanks... |

Hi,
How do you do the streaming test, from Helix server to a RealOne Player on PC or Phone? Testing with a RealOne Player on PC first will make sure the streaming server itself is working fine. Br zheng wei / Forum Nokia |

Hi,
Before testing the Helix server is working, can you download the video clip (rm format) to a phone and play it to make sure the video clip. Br zheng wei / Forum Nokia |

Hello!
Nokia 3650 has a RealOne player that supports the RTSP protocol to deliver the stream. Stream should be a RealVideo stream. Nokia 6600 support both 3GPP straming and RealVideo straming, both over the RTSP protocol. Teemu / Forum Nokia |

Hi,
You can follow steps below to see how far you can go. 1. check the Helix server is working use a RealPlayer on a PC to do a streaming to make sure the Helix server is working fine 2. check the realplayer on the phone download a video clip to the phone using infra and play the video with the realplayer 3. check the GSM network firewall write a wml page containing a link to ram file, which contains a link to rtsp://...../. go to the wml page from the wap browser on the phone, then select the link. if you can see the video streaming, the operator does not block the streaming access. Note you need to try the different GPRS access point to find the workable one. Br zw/Forum Nokia |

from what it seems from the posts, most of the GSM operators are blocking the rtp protocol.

I've managed to do RTSP streaming video in J2ME for Nokia phones, Sony Ericsson and Motorola, with the help of Haarti and Jimgilmour.
My only problem is on streaming live videos on the Nokia N73, N80 and Symbian S60 3rd edition. On the streaming success go to this forum http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...t=93215&page=1 |
