I'm trying to establish a HTTP connection to my own server so that I can exchange data from server to phone via HTTP/HTML. I'm using a Nokia 6310i on the Vodafone network (UK). GPRS works fine for the WAP browser and is able to view many WAP sites including wap.ft.com. My application, however, is able to read data from wap:199/vodafone.wml and wap.vodafone.co.uk but is unable to read from wap.ft.com and any other general http connection.

Any ideas why this is?

I've tested a couple of applications from mobiled.net - and they try to connect to http://mobile.net/cgi-bin/etc... and they fail also.
