Hi to all the expert out there...

Today a setup one of my pc (winXP) and server (2k Server), both running IIS to become a wap server. set the mime type and everything, and it works well.

But the problem is, When i point my Nokia 5110 emulator wap browser to the midi link in the wml, it says "Unknown error"
The midi file is suppose to be a polyphonic ringtone, i try playing it wil media player and it play okay also.....

Then, i try the same wml and midi, put them on my web hosting account (provide by other company), and it works, i can download the midi and listen to it using the emulator.

Can anyone tell me what am I missing?

Hi,

If it's working fine with the same code on other webservers, I guess it's problem on settings if your web server. Please check your MIME type settings of your server.

Hi,

Please try adding Audio/midi, Audio/sp-midi , Audio/x-midi for MIME settings.

Hi,

I added the MIME mappings to TOMCAT server and tried MIDI downloading on my Tomcat server, it's working. Maybe there's some misconfiguration on IIS, you can find some IIS-related docu for more information. You can setup another server(like tomcat) for a try.
