Hi!

Can anybody tell me the way of leaving the light of the display of the Nokia 3650 switched on when being in an MIDlet-Application and not triggering any keys?? As far as I know there is no mechanism in the API to solve this problem!

Thanks

Dennis

i think if you installed in the game menu , theres an option under the game menu to enable light, however this is on my 7250 aka a series40

And unfortunately, installing to the Games folder doesn't work on Series 60 devices.

oh what do you mean it doesn't work?

same as series40, you cant install into the games folder, unless you OTA (other the air ) download it. and the jad file must contain that nokia.....:game ..line..

however there has been programs which can install in the game folder...such as oxygen, mobime..

and a hacked version of the nokia installer program

dannyai, Series 60 just doesn't have a games folder and therefore all your efforts are futile (at least on that topic ;) ).
And hacked Nokia Installer? I wouldn't shout that out in this Forum if I was you, I don't think this is the right place for such things...

oh i never knew series 60 never had a games folder,

ok here's my next thought in my mind, in nokia ui api, there is a class which can turn on the service light for an amount of time, "DeviceControl", you might have luck with that, though im not sure if that class even exist in series 60 because im programming on series 40.

The class exists, but as far as I remember the implementation is empty or something and the methods do nothing...
