I know that due to the sandbox model midlets are not allowed to access other applications on the phone. However, in MIDP 2.0, MIDlets are no longer restricted to run only in a sandbox, since there are new mechanisms, which provide a security policy for MIDP devices.
My question is: Does Nokia have any intensions to include API that will enable access to the phone WAP browser in its (Nokia’s) MIDP2.0 devices? |

Hello
I am not aware of that. MIDlet can make Http and Socket connections. |

Thanks for your reply.
The standard which addresses this issue is in defined in JSR-118, in class MIDlet , in the method platformRequest(String URL) |
