Hi,
We are considering developing a game for mobile phone that uses pictures and we would like to use java as platform. Is it possible to access the camera from a java application and/or is it possible to load previously taken pictures into to the java application? If so how can it be done?

There is an optional extension Java package called Mobile Media API (JSR 135) supported on some phones like the 3650 and 6600. This allows access to the camera and play various media files. This is a standard (not Nokia specific) that is an extension to MIDP1.0/2.0 and partially included as part of MIDP2.0
