Hi
Nokia Phones are using 12bit Colors, 4bits for each Color (+4bit Alpha, 16bit total).
If you are making commercial games i STRONGLY recommend having a real Phone, as some things ARE different.
The Display of Series 40 Phones is slightly blurred, which can't be reflected by the Emulator.
The Series 60 Display has very brilliant Colors, not comparable with any other Mobile.

Please go through the technical notes on colour in Nokia phones in the Java section.

Other than colors, you might also want to check out the brightness and intensity of the backlit screen, as they might directly affect the output on the screen as well.

I agree with Lores, the Series 40 Phones don't really give hi-quality image compared to the one you see on the computer screen or Series 60 phones. Color images somehow seems rather "compressed" on the Series 40.

Cheers,
YC
