Can I use any application to create a graphic then just save it as a GIF file? Or do I have to mess with JAVA?
I want to create some wallpaper for the 3560. The display uses 96x65 pixels with 4096 colors. |

Don't think you need to "mess" with JAVA. Once you are done editing with your picture editor (Paint Shop Pro/Photoshop etc), you just need to save them as GIF file and transfer them over to your 3650 using PC Suite for 3650, or you can use www.opm-2.com 's phone manager to do it. Hope that helps. Cheers, YC |

I don't have a 3650. I have the 3560. Did a search on the Website and couldn't find an application for modifying the phone. Look at the Oxygen software - look promising but the US price is higher than the English price.

Here is the response I got from Techinal Support. If what they are saying is true then how do you get new wallpaper on the phone?
Thank you for contacting Nokia Customer Care regarding the availability of PC Suite software for your Nokia 3560 phone. The Nokia 3560 phone is not data capable. The Nokia 3560 phone was designed without an infrared port or data socket that would enable you to transfer phone book or other data between the phone and a computer. As a result, PC Suite Software is not available for the Nokia 3560 phone. |

Whoops, got the numbers mixed up. :-P
Probably the only way you can do it is through OTA, or if you manage to get a data cable for this model. I had the same problem with Nokia 3530, and I am still looking for the data cable for it...no infrared, no bluetooth...only OTA support...sigh... un-Cheers, YC |

What is OTA?
|

OTA means "Over The Air". That is downloading your data thru radiowaves (using WAP, GPRS or whatever).
