I wanted to fetch webserver pages from the nokia 7650 and managed to do it whanks to the "dummy GPRS acces point" trick. It works, but I was wondering if there was a rational explanation to this, couild someone shed some light on this for me because I can't understand why an acces point configured with GPRS as data bearer ends up sending IP packets over bluetooth's serial connection.

The second thing that had me scratching my head is why do I have to initiate the bluetooth serial connection from the PC to have the serial connection established (mrouter icon flashing ...). why can't the conection be initiated from the phone ? I have seen bemused does that so how come when some browser sends some IP request using the dummy GPRS acces point, the connection is not not established ?

Thanx in advance.

PS: I use the tecom BT3030 dongle on the PC side
