At first I thought the software of my BT dongle isn't written well enough to get a strong link between my phone and my BT, but I then found an update and now I can set my Transm.Power for my BT dongle.
I've set it to High in my BT soft, but my connections to my Phone are still lazy, getting only to "Too Weak", and losing one another from time to time ![]() Is this an undocumented feature of the phone? Are they made directly to produce only such weak signals? (ok, I have a TECOM BT USB dongle, type BT3034, soft 1.2.2.16 from their ftp site, and WinXp Pro) The box of the dongle says it would be able to make a 20meters strong connection (which I obviously don't need), but my phone seems not to be able to make a strong one over 10 centimeters ![]() Help me someone, or at least tell me, that I have to live with it! |

Nokia 3650 is complying with Class 2 device, giving a range of appr. 10 meters. In obstacle free environment you should get even longer than 10-meters range. Of course the throughput will decrease the longer the distance is.

...since the manufacturer of my BT dongle also states, that my dongle is/should be a Class 2 device. Now, if I ain't taking it wrong, two Class 2 devices cnnected with each other should make quite a stable and strong connection - yet they aren't. What could be the cause? Obviously, my phone and my dongle are on the same table, lying about 40-50 cm apart from each other... So no cause for interference or obstacles...
Or let me ask another question: how fast will the connection/data transfer be between my N3650 and my PC, if they are connected through BT waves, using the official Nokia tools like mRouter and PC Suite for N3650? Is there any way to give special commands to the phone or to the software to make this data transfer speedier or stronger? |
