Hi Folks,
I am a student at Technical University in Berlin and I am working on a project to connect two devices (7650 and PDA or PC in a first step) together and sending some little pieces of data around. Now I came across the Point-To-Point example of the Series 60 SDK and started playing around a little bit. My question is now: Why is it that other devices can't see the new serial service advertised by the P2P example? I am using an epox bluetooth adapter with Windows 2000 Server and tried to see the service in the "Bluetooth Neighbourhood", and a iPAQ 3870 with a slightly modified version of the High-Point BTAccess Evaluation Versions "StackDemo". Another question that bothers me is if anyone knows if there is a free development environment for Pocket PC 2002 or Windows 2000? Thank for your help. Marco |

The new service should be seen by other Bluetooth devices. The service initialised in P2P example is called 'Serial Port'. Is the Bluetooth device you are using capable of seeing multiple serial port services (as the Nokia 7650 provides also the preinstalled serial port called 'Bluetooth Serial Port' whenever you have switched Bluetooth on)?
I have found the both serial ports using Bluetooth Neighborhood (Nokia Connectivity Card). Seppo Forum Nokia |
