Hi all,

I've tested a few Series 60 games on Nokia NGage and there seems to be a sound problem (using both MMAPI and the nokia Sound class) - there is a delay from the moment the sound is suppose to start and the moment it's begining to be heard - which leads to a small part from the begining of the sound not being heard. This is especially obvious for short length sounds that sometimes are not even heard. I say sometimes because this bug occures only the first time the sound is played (I mean that if the ott or midi is looped, only the first loop has this problem).

Has any1 else encountered this problem?

Have you prefetch your midi ?

I'm developing games on the 3650 plateform and I'm currently having the same problem. The first time the sound is played, it plays just fine, but when replaying the sound(s), sometime it's cut in half, plays with a 30-1min delay or just doesn't play at all. I tryed a lot of different solutions such as realizing/prefetching the players, allocate/deallocate at each play() but alway having the same results. The funniest thing is that I plays just fine in the emulator (beta0.3) (I'm using midi files by the way...)

Anyone have the same problem? Solution, anyone?

Well, I face the similar problem in series 60 recently. It seems that while the file end, it doesn't play at the beginning of the sound. I have tried to createPlayer again. It seems work for awhile, however, suddenly the sound cannot be played again. I hope this will be a useful piece of information for you
