I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem or
is this an isolated case: my tone based song in a byte array plays
perfectly well on the 7210 emulator but restarts after a short
among of time on the actual phone model. Perhaps the phone
itself does not support such long songs? The same thing happens
on the 3300 phone and also happens on the 3300 emulator (yes,
I know the tones play funny on the 3300 emulator as documented ).

And I have also discovered the largest Midi file that can be played
on the 3300 is limited to 3KB which is way below the size
of a full song. Is there any way I can overcome this limitation
because I am pretty sure the phone itself can play larger midi files
(not using J2ME).

I just found out that the actual 3300 phone can play larger
midi files compared to the emulator (the 5.49KB midi file which did
not work on the emulator works on the actual phone). Does
anyone know what the actual Midi limitation of the phone (with
the Nokia J2ME api) is? And does anyone know how to change
the pitch and volume for the midi (or the pitch of the tones in
other phones)? The MMAPI control does not seem to
work and causes the emulator to crash (although I haven't
tried on the actual phone).
