Hey guys,

It's me again. I am having an extremely weird problem, and dont know where else to turn on this one. I am trying to load a png file in order to display a scrolling logo for our game (its a rather large logo, it scrolls across the screen before displaying the whole thing on one canvas). For debugging purposes I split up this logo into 3 separate png files (down from one 7k file to several smaller files). I am still not having any luck.

All of the other graphics within our try statement load and display properly. Upon compilation, our jar file is 26k. This is the only error the program gives us:

The try statement in our image loader isnt catching any exceptions. The program compiles and runs fine when I comment out the loadimage statements for the png's in question.

EDIT:

forgot to mention one critical detail. this code runs fine in other phone emulators. the only emulator giving us trouble is the nokia 7210.

nevermind, we figured out a solution. Instead of loading the images all at once, we loaded them as they were needed in the program, and then destroyed them (myImage = null;) when we were done.
