How can Nokia handle transparency in J2ME? -

I want to put a .gif file into a J2ME application. Although the background of the image is set as transparency, it shows white under the J2ME application.
What can I do in order to make it transparent? Thankyou very much!

Use png instead of gif.
As far as I have seen all the Nokia phones can handle transparency with png images. shmoove
