I did a test and created ram file as follow:
rtsp://real.playstream.com/koki/new.rm
and tried the url in my nokia n-gage. It did open Real One but soon it said timeout! again...again...which shows tat even at this low low settings - streaming video via GPRS is a dream yet to become reality.
Anyway, if there is someone that had success - come forward!

Finaly I tried a .3gp file but n-gage didnt recognise the file and did not open real one. This may be due to the fact that a file has to be hinted?

One day....

Hi,

Could you prove a bit more information about the clip you're trying to stream? What's the bit rate and the resolution of the clip?

N-Gage is not able to handle 3GPP streaming. It can handle RealVideo 7&8, RealAudio 7&8, RealAudio Voice.

Best regards,

Hi,

At least decrease the bit rate. Suitable bit rate for the GPRS networks would be something like 20 - 30 kbit/s. Read more about optimising your content from our Video and Streaming Content Creation Guide.

Hi there,

Yes I will try that next.
I did send this enquiry to T-Mobile UK who are the single biggest network in Uk and here is their reply:

"Video streaming is not a feature offered by T-Mobile at present so we are unable to proffer any advice on this."

I must say, I am not sure how can they stop me using streaming???

Not supported by any operator . So it looks like it's a nice option on Nokia phone that nobody can really use .
Would be nice from Nokia to tell customer wich operators are supporting streaming in each country .
