Hello,
I made an application based on MIDP1.0/GPRS and some Nokia specific API's which seems to run fine in 7650/3650 or even N-Gage. But when I test it with 6600, it crashes me out with this error message "jes-f2-javax.microedition.lcdui1@14..." Can anyone help? |

I too have seen this error and had previously posted a question regarding this:
http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...threadid=32595 Originally I thought that this only happened in the situacion described in my previous post, but I am seeing that it happens all over the place in my application. Also its not consistent, sometimes it errors and others it doesnt. These errors do not exist in the 3650 and 7650 which leads me to believe its a bug. |

Thanks! that is, at least, comforting to know I'm not alone.
Anyway, I sort of decide to move on without trying to find out what causes it or how to fix it. I have the same feeling that this must be some VM bug(s) which I hope Nokia will handle asap. Hopefully, by then I will not have to do anything more than re-test. (Isn't that annoying to see that it does work on the SDK but not on the real environments) |

If the phone is out on the market, you can forget your app working for the early adopters. How many non-technical people do you know that go to a Nokia service center to flash their phone just so they can play your game?
If you can't work around the bugs in the firmware, you're basically screwed... Nokia is very unlikely to do a product recall. Welcome to mobile development :) |
