is it possible to access the gallery on nokia series40 phones?
i want to write a polyphonic composer since there dosent seem to be one avaiable .. but this would require writing a midi to the filesystem somehow ..

anyone know if this can be done?

No you can't, and yes, it is a shame. The MIDP environment is quite restricted, and there's a big list things you can't do, I'm afraid.
