With the new legislation coming into force regarding the use of mobile telephones in cars, I am trying to work out a legal solution using my hands-free kit and bluetooth headset.
At present I have a standard Nokia car kit fitted and I use the Jabra BT200A bluetooth headset with a Nokia 6310i.
The ideal solution for me would be to operate with my existing equipment as follows:
Place the phone in the cradle of the hands-free kit where it will:
a. Charge the phone battery
b. Use the internal antenna
c. Use the bluetooth headset, and when the headset runs out of charge then operate the phone using hands-free (via a switch probably).
I would like it to operate as both hands-free (car) & as a bluetooth.
I've spoken to Nokia & one or two others & they advise that it can't be done.
