Hi )

Can anyone tell me if the File Transfer Profile is 100% supported, I saw someplace that it could only be used with the phone as a server?

Thanks..
Jan

Nokia 7650 supports File Transfer as a server, which means that you can e.g. browse, view, delete or pull files from "a Bluetooth inbox" of 7650 remotely. Or you can pull those files from 7650. You need to have paired the devices and 7650 always asks for your permission before action. Therefore there is no possibility for others to view your files.

To transfer those files from the Nokia 7650 to the other Bluetooth device you can also use Object Push Profile.

Nokia 7650 does not have a client-side implementation of FTP, which means that you cannot browse for other device's files from 7650.

Nokia 7650 does not support Headset and Handsfree Profiles as Bluetooth audio is not supported.

The Service Discovery Application Profile is also supported and it should have been mentioned there. The list has now been updated. (The same applies for the Bluetooth profile list of Nokia 6310/6310i/8910, too)

Hi All,

Does the Series60 SDK has any of the Bluetooth profiles mentioned in the previous post?

I guess Nokia has implemented all of the abovesaid profiles and
are not available in Series60.

Also, I feel Series60 SDK comes with the basic BT stack and nothing else.

Please correct me If I am wrong on the above issues.

Regards,
