This question has been asked 1000 times before I know, but I have a problem deploying a MIDlet I wrote to a 3510i.

I have already tried uploading to two different webservers and telling my phone's WAP browser where the files are. I can sucessfully download Pictures and MIDI files from the same directory, but every time I point it to a JAD it comes back with the error "File Format Unknown".

Is it the webservers fault or am I just using a crap phone provider?

Any help really appreciated.

Dang You... wow nice food
U need to configure ur web server to recognise the JAR and JAD content. Go to ur web server (mine is apache) and open ur mime.types file with notepad or watever, and insert the following 2 lines into the appropriate area:

application/java-archive jar
text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad

U should be fine after that, restart web server if needed, hope that helps.
