What do you mean "scale it down"? Scale it down on the phone itself (at runtime)? What do you want to accomplish by scaling it down?
And you are aware that there is no built-in method for scaling, you have to do it yourself, right? shmoove |

thanks for the reply.. u mean to say that suppose i make the graphic in paint shop pro or photoshop . i should start making at the actual size say 14/13 or draw it at a higher size ..then scale it down in paint/photoshop to the size of 14/13..????.. but don't u think in this process i will will get a graphic which is blurred??. IS there a method to retain the clarity of the graphic.. please help

OK, so not on the phone. I see.
That's really up to you. Whatever looks better in your opinion. I'm not much of a graphics artist. shmoove |

I think you should draw the image in the size you will use it. It will look messy if you scale it down. A shaded ball or something simple like that can be scaled down but other stuff will look messy.
Its a trick to learn how to draw small things and make them look good, play some online games with good (and small) graphics and do a screendump and zoom in at the objects. Maybe you can get some hints.. |

Make a serverside script that serves the phone with the right pictures....
http://myserver/getmobilepicture.php&name=cool.gif on the serverside you can analyse wap header to identify terminal type and serve the best possible version of the picture.. The server can eighter rescale the graphic using a nice algorithm, or keep multiple versions of each image.. înkDot |
